Privacy Policy

NAMECAPS ENTERPRISE ("we", "us", "our") operates SlowSo. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it.

1. Information We Collect

Account data — your email address and a hashed password when you register.
Preferences — the creators you subscribe to, your digest schedule, and in-app settings (font size, theme, footnotes toggle).
Usage data — which posts you read, bookmark, or request an AI summary for. This is used solely to power the digest and reading state features.
Payment data — subscription and billing information is handled directly by Razorpay. We do not store card numbers, UPI handles, or net-banking credentials on our servers.
Content data — titles and bodies of posts fetched from your subscribed creators (YouTube, Reddit, RSS). This content is stored to build your digest and may be sent to our AI provider to generate summaries.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and maintain your account.
To fetch content from your chosen creators and build your personal digest.
To generate AI summaries and footnotes (post content is sent to Moonshot AI — see Section 4).
To process payments and manage your subscription via Razorpay.
To send transactional emails (account confirmation, billing receipts). We do not send marketing emails without your explicit consent.
To investigate and fix technical issues.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your data on the basis of (a) contractual necessity — to provide the service you signed up for — and (b) legitimate interest — to maintain security and improve reliability. Payment processing is subject to Razorpay's own legal basis under applicable Indian financial regulations.

4. Third-Party Services

YouTube Data API v3 (Google) — used to fetch channel metadata and video information. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Reddit public API — used to fetch subreddit posts via public RSS feeds. No authentication or personal data is sent to Reddit.
Moonshot AI (api.moonshot.cn) — post titles and body text are sent to generate AI summaries and footnotes. Only post content is shared; no account or payment data is transmitted.
Razorpay — payment processing. Subject to Razorpay's Privacy Policy.
Supabase — database and file storage hosted on AWS us-west-2. Your account and digest data is stored here.
Fly.io — application server hosting (sea region, US West).
Cloudflare Pages — hosts this marketing site. Cloudflare may log IP addresses and request metadata per their privacy policy.

5. Cookies

We use a single session cookie (httpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax) to keep you signed in. This cookie does not track you across other websites. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics cookies.

6. Data Retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active.
Digest posts are retained for 60 days (Free plan) or indefinitely (Pro plan).
Upon account deletion, all personal data is removed within 30 days.

7. Your Rights

You may, at any time:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your account and associated data.
Cancel your Pro subscription from Settings → Billing.

8. Security

Passwords are never stored in plain text. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Database access is restricted to our application server. We conduct periodic reviews of our security posture.

9. Children's Privacy

SlowSo is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
